How to Play

In the 1950s, a fascinating project unfolded, bringing forth the 56TP, a remarkable tank that blended the qualities of heavy and medium tanks. Its Polish designers undertook the challenge of developing it, drawing inspiration from the T-54 Soviet medium tank and employing a scaling method to adapt the chassis elements of a medium tank to a different weight category.

The result was the 56TP, an impressive creation with a distinct low silhouette. While it shared some similarities with early Soviet medium tanks, it had its own unique character. Despite its great potential, the project never made it past the early design stage.

Though the vehicle itself was confined to history, the 56TP's legacy endures as a testament to innovative design and engineering. In World of Tanks, its maneuverability enables quick flank changes and retreats, meaning it flourishes when supported by other tanks. Like the zubr that thrives in herds, the 56TP finds its strength in numbers.

Equipped with a 122mm gun with great handling, penetration, and damage, this tank's focus is to provide support and engage with enemies from a distance. While the turret provides solid armor, watch out for its vulnerable areas. With a long reload time, it's important to make every shot count. This vehicle is at its best in hilly terrain thanks to its gun depression of 9 degrees. Use this to your advantage to compensate for its armor limitations.

The 56TP packs quite the punch, with 390 damage per shot. Its AP rounds have a penetration of 221 mm, while APCR rounds can penetrate up to 252 mm of armor. With an aim time of 2.3 seconds and a dispersion value of 0.34, every shot holds immense significance, demanding precision and strategic decision-making.

This tank relies more on its tactical prowess than its armor. While the hull armor is generally weak, with 80 mm on the front and sides and 60 mm at the back, it's relatively easy for opponents to penetrate it head-on. However, the well-angled frontal hull can produce ricochets against AP or APCR shells when combined with the 9° gun depression.

This vehicle offers decent repositioning and engagement with its top speed of 40 km/h. Its 900 hp engine ensures smooth mobility across the battlefield. While the tank's terrain resistance values provide good traction, it's important to maintain a safe distance to ensure a quick escape if the battle intensifies.
